  3. Cello beta version 0.4 is now available on 
  4. fatty.law.cornell.edu, directory pub/LII/Cello.

  6. The new version fixes the following:

  8. -- Assorted GPFs resulting primarily from Developer Silliness.
  9.    (scattered reports)
  10.    
  11. -- Problems with quoting of SRC attribute in <IMG> tags.  Net 
  12.    result was an inability to retrieve image files on some 
  13.    servers.
  14.    (reported by Alert Cellist Nick Williams)
  15.    
  16. -- Text, title, and status bar backgrounds are now set to match 
  17.    Windows system color, rather than defaulting to white.

  20. -- Complete Windows crash caused by jumps to "empty" or 
  21.    unavailable Gopher links is now fixed.

  31. There are numerous small UI enhancements, no one of which is 
  32. worth writing up.  I have also made a few small changes to the 
  33. default home page, where there was at least one incorrect URL.

  35. Unsolved mysteries of science:
  36.  
  37.    The Machine from Hell at Cornell continues to suffer from 
  38.    FTP hangs on files > 4K bytes.  It appears that the upcall 
  39.    mechanism isn't working correctly.  Anyone suffering from this 
  40.    problem please contact me directly.

  44.    A Windows MPEG viewer is available at
  45.       file://bode.ee.ualberta.ca/pub/dos/win3/mpeg
  46.    There are assorted files to get depending on your video 
  47.    hardware.  It seems to run OK with Cello, but not 
  48.    necessarily with my video hardware (grin).  Anybody who
  49.    wants to do some experimentation and report to CELLO-L is 
  50.    hereby warmly invited to do so.
